Upcycle

Upcycle – alter & revive sewing workshop. Items of clothing in your wardrobe that need updating then bring them along to the workshop. Pupils will alter & revive garments through stitch and embellishment/adding trims.

Make, Do and Mend

Make, do and mend – this is where you can bring your alterations and learn how to do alterations, we often find we have clothes that need mending, would you like to know how to turn up a hem, turn up a sleeve, move a button position, so many things to learn.

Make a Tote bag

Make a Tote bag – this a reversible bag, you can bring your own fabrics, cotton woven fabrics are ideal for this project and two fabrics one plain and one pattern would be required, you can then applique an Initial or applique by taking some of your patterned fabric of scraps left over and applique onto the plain fabric.

Had a one to one sewing lesson with Mandy, she was patient and was friendly and put me at ease, Learn’t more in 3 hours than I had in 6 x 2 hours sessions at another venue, so was well worth the money!!! Mandy also showed me some quick tips to do things quicker and easier as Mandy told me she had previously worked in a factory.
